TTV - 2040 Movie Night

Transition Town Vincent are holding a movie night at our club.

Award-winning director Damon Gameau embarks on a journey to explore what the future would look like by the year 2040 if we simply embraced the best solutions already available to us to improve our planet and shifted them into the mainstream. Structured as a visual letter to his 4-year-old daughter, Damon blends traditional documentary footage with dramatic sequences and high-end visual effects to create a vision board for his daughter and the planet.

8th November 2021 at 6:15 pm for 6:30pm start.

Donation appreciated on the night.

Athena 70th Anniversary Commemorative Dinner

Nearly 300 people packed our club room to witness a once in a generation event as we paid tribute to the volunteers and heroes of our great club.

It was capped off by the unveiling of our “Dream Team” featuring players who fielded the pitch way back in the 1950's.

Thank you to the Hon. Minister for Sport, Dr Toni Buti MLA for his keynote address and support, Mayor Emma Cole and City of Vincent councillors, the Greek Consulate and all special guests.

Special thanks also to Peter Vlahos for his outstanding MC work!

A shout out to all the volunteers and committee members who pulled together to make this night happen.
